Noble Path Therapy
My Approach to Counseling

Psychodynamic and Depth Oriented

The psychodynamic approach sees that there are many unconscious dynamics in the psyche at play. Many of these are habits created to protect you during traumatic life events, but have become harmful obstacles to further growth and healing. Through our therapeutic conversations, I will help you increase awareness of these dynamics and habits, so that you can find more conscious choice in your actions.

Mindfulness and Compassion Focused

Mindfulness and Awareness practices can greatly increase the efficacy of therapy. Learning to place your attention on your feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations without distractions helps you to do the necessary therapeutic work for positive change. Practicing compassion with these experiences makes difficult thoughts and emotions more workable.
Strengths-Based

Counseling shouldn't just be about where you are struggling. By focusing on your strengths, it will be easier to find the bravery and confidence to do the difficult work of therapy. Your strengths will also provide a map for what kind of life you want to create.
